Last month, I went over the format you should use for displaying date and time while working in the US Navy. For an in-depth breakdown of how to do this correctly, check out the individual posts on date and time. I’ve created cheat sheets for your phone to help memorize these formats. You will be expected naturally use these standards by the time you’re in DEP, so make sure you’re comfortable with using them beforehand! These aids have a simplified breakdown of the format along with a variety of examples that will cover most cases you could come across. Set your phone’s lock screen to whichever one you’re having trouble with, and make sure to state the current date and time in military format before unlocking your phone. ![]()

Just Call Me Kilo
Although I'm a navy brat from a military family, I'm quite anxious and reserved. Therefore I'm not one to show my face and be overly social, but I like to help where I can! Ask me a question nicely if there's a topic you need help learning about and I'll see if I can address it. Archives
